Paul Kolnik: new & now
Photographs of the New York City Ballet
June 29 - July 29, 2006
Artists' Reception:
Saturday, July 15, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
2006 highlights Paul Kolnik's fourth season of ballet photographs at Gallery 100. The exhibition's title, New & Now, refers to new choreographed dances by the New York City Ballet along with previous favorites scheduled "now" for this season at SPAC. Kolnik's images express pinnacle moments of movement and gesture. This year's selection will include impressions of color which play upon Marc Chagall's costume design for Firebird. A limited edition print will be available for purchase at the gallery.
Erik Johnsen: Hand-Carved Carousel Horses
Erik is an artist and a craftsman. At a very young age he began building boats and now can be seen at various locations in Saratoga hand-crafting classical carousel horses. Gallery 100 is very excited to exhibit two full-sized carousel horses hand-painted in vibrant colors.
Please join us in welcoming these two special artists for a reception on Saturday, July 15, 2006 from 5:00 - 8:00 pm. This reception is open to the public.

Gallery 100 is pleased to announce an exhibition of drawings and sculptures by nationally acclaimed artist John Van Alstine. In forms that seem to defy gravity Van Alstine's sculptures occupy space in arabesque harmonies of rock and steel. Line and color mirror these sculptures in his gestural pastel drawings on paper.
Please join us in welcoming John Van Alstine for a special reception planned for Saturday, May 20, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The reception is open to the public.
PRESS RELEASE - 12 May 2006
Jenny Nelson: abstract paintings
Ann Scott: landscape paintings
May 18 - June 24, 2006
Opening Reception: Saturday, May 20, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Gallery 100 will feature an evocative palette of color in the canvases of artist Jenny Nelson. In describing her work, Nelson explains, "Many of my final images evoke the memory of objects I have seen or places I have been . . . Layers of pigment and the movement and energy of a series of brush strokes can fulfill my desire to revisit these simple, yet significant memories".
Gallery 100's collaboration with Mabou Interiors at 462 Broadway provides the perfect environment for presenting the rich landscape paintings of Ann Scott. Scott's oil paintings transport the viewer to settings of fertile soil and lush foliage. Scott's canvases will be on view at both locations.
Please join us in welcoming these artists for a special "double" reception planned for Saturday, May 20, 2006 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. Mabou Interiors will be celebrating their Grand Opening the same night. Both receptions are open to the public.
